Wildness

Once I heard the wildness outside,

I felt a thunder storm in my mind.

Wild beasts seem to have calmer times,

I'd spent a lifetime, listing all my crimes.

Once I heard the wildness outside,

All I wanted, was run and hide.

Wandering foxes, shine in head beams at night,

As wheely bins are torn on sight.

Once I heard the wildness outside,

I felt a lightning strike, deep inside.

Little frogs crawling out of fright,

Hop to bushes, as feet walk pass by.

Once I heard the wildness outside,

It made me feel warm, tucked up tight.

But sparrows nesting in loft, summertime,

Feel like axes, pecking at my mind.

Once I heard the wildness outside,

It made me wonder, what is life?

For all this nature, and all is bright,

My own future wildness, is cast aside.

Anxiety

I’ve got the pain, the pain, that anxious pain in my head again.

I don’t wanna go out coz I got the shame, that shame of forgetting peeps’ names.

Do u see those eyes on me, balling me, balling me, eyeballing me in the shop?

I don’t want 2 speak coz my brain is gonna stall on me, stall on me, make me stutter, choke n stop.

I wanna curl up in a ball n just crawl into a deep dark hole n hide.

But I’m forced to see people eyeballing me, balling me n looking unhappy n snide.

The anxiety hits me so bad, whenever I get stressed or rushed 4 time.

I used 2 make it worse, full paranoid schizo, by doing cheeky pub toilet top lines.

When I see peeps’ I don’t know in the street coming @ me, I walk past em a mile n a half wide.

N when I can’t find my wallet or phone, I’m on that dark painful panic filled slide.

All I wanna do is get my meds, my pills, crunch em up, n hopefully knock myself out.

Coz I can’t handle the fear when people get upset with me or angry n scream n shout.

What have I done to deserve this constant fear n anxious pain?

All I do is repeat the same steps n get that fear over n over again.

Where’s my keys, I’ve lost them, have u seen em? I’m gonna go mad.

Ten minutes later I realise there in my pockets so deep, I already had.

So just give me my meds, my pills n capsules, I need 2 calm down.

I’ve been on em so long, my script would knock any Zoo Elephant down.

N I can’t get off em coz I need professional help n time, which aint even here.

So talk of Detox n using Mindfulness or CBT, is not even near.

It seems the Government has shut down all the free rehabs 2 save on their cash.

They think I can just cut down at home alone, I wouldn’t even get a good bash.

No1 understands the fear n panic from anxiety I get in my head.

So I just put up with the pain, the fear, the balling n stay in my bed.

Fluffy The Cat

I challenged Clare from Creative Writing group to write me a Skrew and I would do her a poem about a cat. This is the nicest you will get from me I guess.....

Fluffy

Clare's neighbours friend had a funny and fat, smelly hairy cat,
It was furry n called Fluffy and it liked lying on it's back.
It liked to roll around in the mud and chase the odd scared rat,
But could never understand why it was always forced to sit on a mat.
It's owner would scream at Fluffy, it was always shouting and yell,
Not that Fluffy covered in mud n poo, could ever really tell.
Whenever she came indoors covered in her stinky smell,
Her owners mouth moved up and down so fast but Fluffy loved that outside garden smell.
It loved to play outside rolling around in the grass and the dirt and weeds,
Chasing things in the air that only special cats could only ever see.

Her owner thought Fluffy was mad as she watched her climb her precious trees,
Then she would come in and spread the newly cleaned home, with all her fleas.
One day the owner got so mad due to the cat ruining her pristine home,
She'd spent all day cleaning it ridding it of cat mess wherever Fluffy would roam,
So she rang up the RSPC and complained Fluffy had infectious mad cat syndrome.
She could handle Fluffy no more, she'd ruined 2 many packs of fresh flea combs.
So one day some men in white turned up as Fluffy was playing in the garden,
Fluffy was so scared she looked and begged at her owner for a pardon.
But her owner had enough of her high jinx, and her will just hardened.
Fluffy was led away, a criminal cat, but she had one more piss on the rose garden.
It was not Fluffy's fault that she was born a fat fun filled smelly garden cat.
And it was so sad that her owner couldn't just see through that.
Fluffy was led off to an RSPCA jail in a cage, with just a single mat.
There was no grass with mud n poo to play in, and Fluffy really hated that.

The Deer...

I saw a magnificent creature I did,

A deer in the cold night's air, I swear.

One minute nothing but darkness and air,

and then the magnificent creature was suddenly there.

It stood in the dark, eyes pinned by the light,

standing tall and majestic, alone in the night.

Then I rammed it at 30mph or more,

I felt it's poor head pummel my cars side door.

I stopped the car to help the creature I swear,

but the creature was gone, no animal to help was there.

It must have fled into the woods to die,

a broken neck, all alone to cry.

I would have broken that neck if I could,

to spare that creature dying alone in the woods.

But the magnificent creature that was there, was no more,

I had killed that creature, with my foot to the floor.
